Girls Drop Outs From School In Gujarat A Sub-District Level Study

Abstract

Education to all  is both prerequisite and  pivotal for the development . The development is endangered if education of the country is engendered. Owing to reasons like low income, household chores, vicinity of school, separate sanitation facility girl child is vulnerable to ending up as a school dropouts. The present study has been initiated to map the stark disparity in girls education and high drop outs from school . The study penetrate to sub districts level of state of Gujarat as though the state has acquired overwhelming growth it could not resist the non-discriminatory gender education. The study has been divided into zone for both district and sub district level. The data source for the study is the District statistical outlines 2021. Among districts of Gujarat the highest girls drop out while transition from primary to high school is reported at Chota-Udaipur of 82.91% and among sub districts (talukas) the highest girls drop out of 94.72 is reported at Gandhevi of Navsari districts.
