Abstract

This research paper focuses on making crime reporting apps that empower communities to keep their streets safer and support law enforcement. The study explores how user-centered design can encourage more people to report crimes and make the reporting process easier and more effective.

Sometimes, people might be scared or unsure about reporting crimes. This research aims to create apps that address their concerns and make them feel comfortable reporting incidents.

To achieve this, the study first looks into why some people might hesitate to report crimes and what challenges they face with existing crime reporting apps. Safety and privacy are important, so we will add strong security measures to protect users' information. This way, people can trust the apps and feel safe using them.

In the end, this research shows how important it is to design crime reporting apps that encourage more people to report crimes and help the police. By working together, we can make our streets safer and create a secure environment for everyone, which aligns with the Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
