From Crime Scene to Courtroom: Understanding the Processes and Principles of Criminal Law

Abstract
This research article revolves around the procedural criminal justice process from the crime scene to the court while at the same time defining the key concepts and processes in criminal law. It begins with the basic activities of crime scene investigation and centers on the topic of scene protection and evidence preservation. The paper also examines the methods of forensics that include fingerprint and DNA profiling to determine the advancement in technology that enhances the accuracy of forensic analysis. After that, the research is devoted to the arrest and charging, the trial, and the sentencing stages, and the problems such as the delays, the improper handling of the evidence, and the inhomogeneities of the sentencing. Therefore, the article offers a comprehension of the functioning of each of the stages in the context of the justice process and possible enhancements. The findings underscore the necessity for rigorous protocols and the continuous improvement of forensic and legal practices to preserve the integrity of the criminal justice system.
