Iron Deficiency Anaemia In Indian Females And Its Homoeopathic Approach
Main Article Content
Abstract
Iron deficiency anaemia [IDA] among women in India is a problem of major public health significance. Women in India are particularly vulnerable to Iron Deficiency Anaemia for several reasons. Poor nutrition, including a lack of Iron rich foods in their diets, is major factor. Irregular or heavy menstruation can also cause significant iron loss. Additionally, the increased iron demands during pregnancy and childbirth further contribute to the risk of IDA. If anaemia is not corrected it leads to reduced work capacity and increased susceptibility to infections. The prevalence of IDA varies by age and geographic location in India.
