Analysis of Investigative Competencies in Professional Teacher Training

Abstract

Objective: The investigative competences reach great relevance since they allow solving problems of daily life and the social context, they are also closely related to the progress and development of various communities. In this sense, the objective of this study was to establish the actions and/or pedagogical activities that have been developed in different universities in the Latin American region in order to achieve investigative skills in students who are studying the professional career of Educational Teaching.


Theoretical framework: Investigative skills and their impact on social well-being agreed on the importance of knowing precisely the techniques and procedures to be used in scientific studies by students.


Design/Methodology/Approach: For this, after the respective screening, 20 scientific articles were selected from recognized databases; Significant findings were determined, among which the incidence of the use of active methodologies, the implementation of evaluation instruments such as rubrics, the increase in the number of publications of scientific articles by university professors, the use of advanced virtual applications in research processes and the creation of seedbeds for researchers in university classrooms.


Findings: In light of the results, the importance of consolidating investigative competencies in the professional training of future teachers is framed, as well as the urgent need for universities to implement better means, materials and educational resources for the sake of the meticulous development of said competencies. in teachers of the 21st century, taking as a premise the recent knowledge that addresses this problem.


Research, practical and social implications: Developing research skills in future teachers requires universities and training centers to take on new challenges.


Implications/Originality/Value: En Latinoamérica, a pesar de las dificultades de tipo sistémico y estructural por las que esta región atraviesa, los docentes han utilizado los servicios del internet a fin de autoformarse y mejorar sus competencias investigativas.
