Abstract

Achievement motivation, the drive to excel and achieve goals, is crucial for success in diverse domains, including sports and organizations (Lopes 2024), (Lin 2017). This article explores the interplay between achievement motivation and key psychological factors—self-efficacy, grit, resilience, and coping strategies—to illuminate their impact on performance in both athletic and organizational contexts. A structured review of relevant literature from organizational and sports psychology reveals the significant influence of these psychological traits on productivity, teamwork, leadership, and athletic performance. The analysis culminates in a conceptual framework integrating these psychological variables into existing theories, highlighting their potential for improving performance and well-being and suggesting avenues for future research, including culturally sensitive interventions and the integration of AI-driven tools.
