Abstract

Recently, Vietnam has seriously discussed forest protection in many important meetings in Vietnam and worldwide. The people from Vietnam have suffered because of bad consequences after many years of badly using forests. It is an urgent time to look for the answer to save the country relating to forest protection.  Climate change, soil degradation, storms, and floods are rising. One of the fundamental causes comes from the destruction of forests. The declining rate of forests has been seriously affecting to ensure the socio-economic development of the world in general and Vietnam in particular. In addition, afforestation, forest protection, and forest cover increment are among the indicators to evaluate the sustainable development of countries in the sustainable development goals. Recognizing the importance of forests, in this article, the author focuses on analyzing the policies on forest protection in Vietnam in recent years. The author will provide solutions to improve the law on forest protection policies in Vietnam by analysing the applicable laws and the current forest protection.
